Stealing one-word-story like an artist

There's usually one or two takes that would stick with me and won't fade overtime from reading a good book.

Cover of the book 'Steal Like an Artist' by Austin Kleon — white hand-lettered title on a black background, with the subtitle '10 things nobody told you about being creative' and a New York Times Bestseller badge.

One take from "Steal Like an Artist" I brought forward

Artists travel and consume work to acquire inspiration. It accumulation process of personal taste which is more important than ever in agentic LLM era. There is no shame in searching for what you like, making and sharing a bunch mix of what you like.

People make their work on top of someone else's all the time. Sometimes they stole from nature. They either are aware or not aware of it, announce and endorse it or keep quiet.

What I just stole today

I like the idea of having a fun #one-word-story Discord channel introduced to me by the Discord server of a really cool touch typing game Star Rune. I brought that to the recently created Beavery Discord server of mine where you're most welcome to join the game!

Mobile Discord screenshot of a #one-word-story channel where each member adds a single word in turn — consecutive posts read 'about', 'him', 'chomping', 'the', 'heck', 'of', 'a', 'salad', 'human'. The display names are blacked out with bars labelled 'GDPR', except Quinlan (Star Rune), who is credited above.
Thanks for reading. Have a yummy dream tonight!
