Reprioritisation and Gracefullisation

  1. Commitment while knowing when to push or pivot
  2. Consider all opportunities, no matter how scary they are
  3. Clear priority with direct relation with clear value
  4. Graceful and learnful execution
  5. Discipline and consistency
  6. Failure seeking
  7. Milestone reward and wind down rituals

These are what I need to sustainably pursue my goals of becoming a builder of randomly useful or cool things. They are a lot and I should simplify them at some point.

For now, I have the 1st & 2nd locked in and currently focusing on the 3rd & 4th. Actually they are close to be the same thing. I think once I know I have already freed up my capacity as much as possible from cutting off unimportant tasks, I will know that I have enough time to be present with what's the most important. Half of the 4th is the by product of the 3rd basically. The rest is to make it as easy as possible to be reminded to take time and pay slow-pace attention.

Reprioritisation

I'm behind my schedule by a lot. Which is fine, a plan is just a plan, not a command nor commitment. We just need to adapt it when I'm off tracked. The experimentation took much longer than I expected (I thought it can be done in a few days) and I still don't have enough feedbacks. The value of this is to gain confidence in my work and feedbacks to improve it, and to know where to rightfully position it in the market. It is a necessity. I think it's right to keep at it and refine the workbook itself right after before productionising and promoting, and some of the next things should be skipped.

  • Search and reach for sponsor
    • This can be done later and probably so once you have outcomes to negotiate
    • I then won't need to implement the function for this on the site and workbook as well
  • Baking tip-jar donation into the site
    • I don't think there'll be a lot of donator anyway. This can be done later
  • Amazon affiliation link on sites
    • Non-urgent and low relevancy
  • Blog for hacker news thread
    • This thread is for people who seek for intellectual satisfaction, probably not those who will buy stuff easily. Not my first round target group and also non-urgent.

Crossing these above off gain me 4 days. Not bad from ~20m thinking. 12 days to go.

How do I gracefullise the execution?

Yes, I enjoy mashing up words.

The current best bad idea is to set repeating 5m buzz on my smart watch to remind myself of constant resonance breathing. It should at least help reducing stress and screen apnea which should promote graceful experience while I'm working on anything.
