The first blog on Clockwise Loops

I like when I know what I'm doing. While that's not always the case, I will make it the case for when I'm re-designing alphabet shapes, ductus, fonts for left-handed handwriting.

I'm aware of the inevitable cost of generalisation. It is impossible for a single design to perfectly work for every lefties because each of our hands are unique and sometimes we want to do it quick, sometimes beautifully, but it is possible to make a font that effectively seed the core ideas of how a lefty can handwrite with better comfort especially in comparison to what is being taught in schools. This is the core philosophy in how I approach this project.

I started this last year casually only for personal use and more seriously since last month. It has been joy discovering myths, flaws and gaps in my style of lefty handwriting which I thought was already well personalised. I will write more blogs about these when I'm ready.
